If you are the type of person that loves to go to parties then you should certainly go to Thailand. The Full Moon parties on the beaches of Thailand are certainly the best. If you want to party on the beach and immerse yourself into the marrow of life then you should certainly go to the Full Moon party at Thailand.

The party actually starts brewing even before the full moon shows up. If you want to get a room then you should certainly make a booking even before the full moon shows up. Some rooms along the area require that you have a booking for three days. This will allow you ample time to prepare for the event and you might even get a discount for this bulk booking. At the end of the day, you need to book three days because you are going to have so much fun anyway. The Full Moon parties are one of the best parties here on earth. You are going to experience all kinds of music. You are going to listen to all the dance music. You are certainly going to have fun in these parties.

You are going to enjoy swimming in the middle of the night. People from around the world come to this beach to party their lives away. If you think that your life is boring then you have to visit Thailand and party the night away. The party on this beach rocks! You are going to end up painting your body with luminous paint that will glow under the full moon. Talk about creativity and being one with the universe! When you attend a full moon party, you are going to see everyone dancing the night away and enjoying simply being alive.

If you are going to go on an all out party mode then you have to make sure that you go easy on the chemicals in your body. You might end up swimming into the deep ocean and killing yourself. You certainly do not want that to happen to you or any of your friends, right? You should also watch out for broken glass along the beach. Sometimes there are people who accidentally break bottles on the beach so always keep your slippers on. If you are in a group then you should certainly look out for each other. Have a buddy system so that everyone is safe.

Thailand is one of the paradises here on earth. If you want to enjoy looking at corals and looking at fish then you should certainly go to Thailand. There may be other coral reefs out there in the world but you should not miss out diving in Thailand. You may think that diving is expensive but it isn’t so. One of the places that you should dive in Thailand is on the island of Koh Tao. If you are learning how to dive or if you have not dived in a long time then this island is perfect for you. There are fully licensed PADI instructors nearby and you can get all your equipment around the area. You are certainly going to be good to go when you get all your equipment ready. You are going to be trained by the professionals if you are still learning. If you think that this training will be like school then you are wrong.

The instructors here will not sound like your chemistry teacher. If you want to experience the best dives then you have to take a boat trip to the best dive sites. It is okay to dive nearby anyway. There are so many fish to see in the area. You will be able to see clownfish, or as some would say, you will be able to find Nemo! You will be able to see lion fish swimming around. You will be able to see a lot of rays. You will be able to see a lot of puffer fish and a lot of pipe fish. If you want to be mesmerized by the colors of the ocean then you should certainly dive in Koh Tao. The corals are all of different colors.

If you think that you have seen all of Thailand then you should certainly check out Thailand down below. Thailand up above is only half of Thailand. If you want to see all the colors of Thailand then you have to dive and see what is happening below. If you have been to Bangkok and you have enjoyed the night life then your trip is far from over. You have to see the colors in the ocean to truly feel the splendor of Thailand. If you have not dove in the past then you can either learn right now or you can learn on the island of Koh Tao itself. One of the things that you should not pass on when you are in Thailand is the diving.

Waking up in a Far East Asian beach resort is not just fun, it is an exhilarating experience as I found out. Being in Bangkok was another experience but the unmistakable crowds in the streets were no less different from the ones in New York. People hurrying back home from work, stopping on the way to pick groceries and buy fish and cacophony of sounds. I flew all the way from US to relax in peace and soak up some sun, but Bangkok, even with its urban charm, seemed far from the place to relax. My cab driver told me that I should hit the beach if I needed peace and tranquility. Where would the beach be? Talking to some local travel agents and cabbies revealed this marvelous beach side, about 90 odd kms from Bangkok. It is the Bangasaen beach in Chonburi. I said to myself, finally, I am going to get some peace. I was surprised when I reached the Bangasaen beach as it was teeming with hundreds and thousands of people who had come with their families and partners to find their own piece of the peace pie! This was not where I wanted to be.

A Thai family, who were visiting the Bangasaen beach, provided directions for another beach. So I noted down the directions and headed for the Pattaya beach, which is on the same coastline as the Bangasaen but a little bit cleaner. It is almost 150 minutes or nearly 2hrs from Bangkok, unless you happen to be stuck in a traffic jam, which may seem like an endless wait. As I walked to the Pattaya beach, it did not remind me of the tropical paradise that I so desperately wanted and my dream of finding a nice and secluded beach was becoming more difficult. There were more people like me and it suddenly seemed like I was in Florida especially with all the English signboards. Yet again I was disappointed.

Locals advised that a visit to the Cha-am and Hua Hin beach resorts that lie on the opposite coastline. According to them, Cha-am is not more than a 3hrs run from Bangkok Central and is a popular destination for the Thai people. It is not advisable to visit on a long weekend because instead of the miles of sand, you will get to see a few thousand pairs of feet. The beach at Cha-am is definitely beautiful and at night, it oozes charm but unfortunately, it did not hold me spellbound because I was looking for a secluded beach. Perhaps I need to look further away from Bangkok. So my search is on…

While other world economies have faltered in recent years, the free market economy of Thailand remains strong. Thailand has a solid infrastructure in place and the government is supportive of investment, which has led to a robust increase in export growth from this Asian country.

The tsunami that devastated so much Asian landscape didn’t spare Thailand either. More than 8,500 lives were taken in the wake of the destruction. Miles of coastal property was demolished. However, in spite of such devastation the growth rate continued to climb to just over 4% in 2005. This is remarkable considering a downturn in tourist traffic, and increase in oil prices and a slowdown in export demands.

The people of Thailand are a resilient group and they are currently finding markets for automobile exports as well as farm produce from the heart of Thailand. Thailand’s farmers raise such diverse crops as rice, corn, tapioca, soybeans, coconut, and sugarcane while the industry side of Thailand is strengthened by being one of the world leaders in tungsten and tin production.

The strongest trade partners for Thailand are the US, Japan and China to name but a few of the growing international clients for Thailand goods.

A trip to Thailand isn’t complete with a visit or two to a Buddhist Temple, or Wat. But it’s important to bear in mind that there are various customs involved and a list of things you should and shouldn’t do, as they are sacred religious places. So, before you visit, take note of these points.

Dress code: Wearing the appropriate clothes is really important. It’s considered impolite to wear shorts, mini skirts or any other clothing that exposes too much flesh on the arms or legs. It’s also not recommended that women wear jeans or trousers. Instead, women should wear a long skirt or trousers with a top that covers their arms. Men should wear trousers and also a long sleeved top.

Footwear: Footwear is important, too. If you’re going inside a temple, then you’ll have to take your shoes off. Outside the temple, it’s best if both men and women wear closed foot shoes, rather than open-toed sandals.

Viewing the Buddha images: Buddha images are regarded as being sacred and whilst you’re looking at them, make sure you never touch a statue or image. Likewise, you should aim to avoid turning your back on an image of the Buddha or pointing your feet at it (or, for that matter, anyone, as it’s deemed rude).

Buddhist monks: Monks aren’t allowed to touch or be touched by women, or accept anything a woman tries to give them, so avoid doing any of these things.

Visiting times: Find out the recommended visiting times and don’t go during a religious gathering or ceremony.

There is a tradition in Thailand that entails building a small “spirit house” whenever a new home, business, or hotel is built. The spirit house is constructed to give the spirits (or ghosts) who once inhabited the land being built upon a place to reside, rather than having them move into the new residence. Some spirit houses are built on the sides of roads, to give those who might have died there a peaceful place to live.

The spirit houses themselves resemble small houses, almost like elaborate bird houses, set atop poles or wooden posts. Their placement must be carefully planned, as they may not be hidden by the main house, nor placed where the main building will provide too much shade.

In order to entice the spirits to occupy the spirit house rather than the main residence, daily offerings of food, flowers, incense and candles are brought to the tiny house by the home or business owner. It is said that offerings of money in the form of bags of coins will bring wealth to the residents as well. Tiny statues of men and women serve as slaves for the spirits, and models of horses or elephants provide for their transportation.

In the city of Bangkok, there is a large spirit house at the site of the Grand Palace. Every day, Thailand natives and tourists alike flock to make offerings and beg favors from the spirit of Chao Phor Lak Muang, the guardian spirit of Bangkok, who is said to reside there.

Having spent several days in the glorious region Hua Hin, I am more than happy to bestow it’s multiple delights on anyone wanting a varied holiday. Actually, that could be difficult for me because to be perfectly honest we spent most of our days on the beaches and nights in the bars, but there is a hell of a selection of both.

Of the 5 beaches we spent most of our time on the Hua Hin beach. It’s an impressive 7 kilometers in length and is still relatively undeveloped so you will get some peace from the milling crowds. We did make the short journey of about 20 km to get to Khao Tao beach. This is a wonderfully secluded cove and if it’s privacy you want while you’re sunbathing the trip is more than worth it.

The bars are truly something else and I have to admit that we didn’t make it far past the Celtic Bar. Some of the appeal was that it was quiet and this was in small part due to the bar girls being a little less aggressive in their sales pitch than in other bars. The beer was good and the pool table was available most nights so it was worth the visit without a doubt.

Thailand is a beautiful place to visit. The beaches and the temples alone are enough temptation to make one want to go there. Thailand was once known as Siam but in 1939 after developing a democratic government, the name was changed to Thailand, meaning land of the free. Thailand is the only country in southeast Asia to never have been colonized.

One of Thailand’s most popular sights to visit is Ayutthaya, the Thai Capital for 417 years. At one time this ancient city was quite prosperous. Ayutthaya is near Bangkok, which is the Capital now, and has many ruins and art works to take in.

It is no wonder that a country with such beautiful architecture, natural beauty and balmy weather would have over sixty-five million people in residence. Millions more vacation there every year, enjoying the sunshine on the beaches, the breath-taking views from the mountains or rafting down the fast rivers. Thailand offers a great number of vacation opportunities.

One can enjoy the deep, rich history of Thailand while experiencing modern amenities in the comfort of one of the many extraordinary hotels available. One can take a train, air-conditioned bus, tuk-tuk, taxi or perhaps the new sky train system and explore one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

I have to admit to feeling a little sceptical about taking the family to Thailand, after all most of the stories you hear involve sex and drugs but once we arrived I knew it wasn’t a mistake. The first thing that strikes you is how beautiful the country is, something that is not publicized often enough in my opinion.

Perhaps it’s a bit of a cliché but we planned our trip to stay in Bangkok because that was the one place above all others that had plenty of information and some excellent reviews. When we first arrived we were all lost for words. Sights like the floating market are even more spectacular in the flesh than they are in any martial arts film. While it is obviously geared towards tourists, it manages to retain an incredible amount of dignity even while packed with Western tourists. If you’re looking for a proper market then Pratunam is the place to go. Above all else, the smells are something that will stay with me forever. In fact, my entire stay in the beautiful city of Bangkok will remain a memory etched into my brain.
